Heather Mack
Heather Mack is a higher education community engagement assessment expert with a passion for assessment approaches that empower communities and strengthen positive impact. She is the independent consultant who designed the Getting Carnegie Classified toolkit to steward campuses through a transformative application process with minimal unintended negative consequences.
Before entering the higher education SLCE field in 2010, Heather worked in conflict zones throughout Africa building the evaluation capacity of conflict transformation programs in eight countries. She has a M.A. in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from the School of International Service at American University in Washington, D.C.
karen pritchard
Karen Pritchard is a higher education community engagement professional with a passion for using data and assessment practices to support institutional mission. Karen spent five years in the Center for Faith and Public Life at Fairfield University, where she focused on assessment and program evaluation of academic service learning.
Karen has a M.S. in Business Analytics from Fairfield University, a Masters of International Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and a B.S. in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to her work at Fairfield, Karen worked in community organizing, non-profit development, and volunteer management.
